Limited liability company „Jaunrīgas attīstības uzņēmums” was founded by Riga Freeport Authority and the Norwegian enterprise Port Pro AS on September 10 2001.

In June 2005, with the foundation of the first subsidiary, the Company grew into a holding company. Currently there are three subsidiary companies in the holding structure of „Jaunrīgas attīstības uzņēmums” Ltd. More detailed information available in section Structure.

The vision of „Jaunrīgas attīstības uzņēmums” Ltd. is to become a professional developer of large scale projects. The mission of the Company – with the development of Riga centre towards the river Daugava to establish a multifunctional and high-quality urban territory in the area cleared from port operations.
